Crack Zip Password

There is a tool fcrackzip which will bruteforce zip file encryption. See here at ubuntugeek.com

Make sure to use the -u option otherwise you will probably be overloaded with many “possible” passwords and no confirmed passwords, as I found.  I have tried it on a simple text file zipped with password “pass”, found the password in about 5 seconds.  Apparently uses some assembly coding, probably makes it much faster.

Anyway, I’m sure it will come in handy some day.  Though I think most files are rar’s and I doubt there is enough processing power to crack those passwords.
