I have my Google Wave Developer’s Sandbox Account

I just received my google wave invite today and within an hour of getting the invite and accepting I was in!google_wave

Firstly, for anyone wanting to know when this is coming out, it has a lot of work to be done. Don’t expect anything going live without a lot more buzz around the topic beforehand.

Like I said, it is buggy. Sitting in New Zealand I have about a 500ms ping for most web requests from The States which didn’t help, add to that 400+ people in the waves I had sitting in my inbox and everything was very slow. Looking at waves was slow, UI was very slow to respond and froze Firefox 3.5.5pre (waiting to update Firefox once 9.10 hits).

Once I was in and looked at the Welcome Waves I realised I had nobody to wave. I looked hard to find an invite button but found none. Not sure if I will receive any invites to give out but I can tell you my work colleagues were jealous. Soon after I picked a couple people from the Welcome Waves (400+ wavers) and waved them. Today no response but thinking about it now, they are probably asleep (Joys of living in NZ, 12 hours ahead of the rest of the world).

I tried adding ‘Bloggy’ but couldn’t work out how to do that either. So as yet I haven’t had a wave interaction.

If you have your invitation, give me a buzz at [email protected]!
